Job Description

Looking for a highly qualified networking engineer. 7 to 8 years of experience in enterprise networking.
We are a multi-vendor shop with customer equipment ranging from Meraki, Cisco SonicWall, Watchguard, HPE. However, we feel that a person with a strong skill set in a vendor like Cisco that they will be able to work on the other equipment without any issues.

CCNP certification is mandatory, CCNA is a must-have

Prefer an individual that has a strong understanding of network infrastructure, and an understanding of network protocols using Cisco switches, firewalls, and routers.

Top Skills Desired:

  • Experience with Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls (including VLAN, IPS, and VPN)
  • Deep understanding of network services/protocols (DNS, DHCP, IPSec, SSH, IPv4, Subnetting, Supernetting, BGP, etc.)
  • Configuring and troubleshooting network devices using best practice, and document in topologies

Day to Day Responsibilities:

This person will be responsible for ensuring the stable operation of the network infrastructure for multiple customer sites. A deep understanding of network protocols and Cisco network devices is essential, ensuring network maintenance and management of network devices is completed as necessary. Our Network Engineers are also responsible for circuit troubleshooting in coordination with telecommunications vendors and managing complex networks with multiple VLANs and VPN connections. This position must be able to work independently and as part of a team responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining and optimizing all network hardware and communication links.

Position Functions or Responsibilities :-

  • Knowledge of Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls (including VLAN, IPS, and VPN)
  • Ability to manage complex subnetting, supernetting and routing protocols
  • Knowledge of application protocols (e.g.: HTTP, SSL, FTP, DNS, etc.) and LAN infrastructures as well as mobility client software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
  • Must have a working knowledge of Active Directory, IMAP, POP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, SSL, VPN and the ability to troubleshoot issues related to those services
